Grand Cherokee brakes have NEVER been anything great...and once you add larger tires, that additional torque on your brakes REALLY plays hell when it comes to stopping quickly. Sure, you can slow down...but when some goofball slams the brakes in front of you on the freeway, what are you going to do? Swerve into the next lane to avoid an accident??!! We have a better solution... As you know, only top-quality parts are
sold here. These rotors, made my Stillen, are a one piece cast
design, replacing the inferior two piece composite design of the
stock rotor. This aids in heat dissipation, increasing braking
performance and eliminating warpage problems that plague the
factory rotor assembly. Furthermore, these Stillen rotors are
cross drilled, accomplishing two things: It cools the rotor
which reduces brake fade under repeated or hard stopping, and it
allows the boundary layer between the rotor and pad to "outgas",
increasing clamping force. The drilled holes are both radiused
and chamfered to eliminating cracking over time and with
heat...two things that your braking system is sure to see. For the WJ, the choices are little more limited thus far, but the combination of Stillen Metal Matrix pads for both front and rear has proved to be excellent. Here's pricing: Rotors are available for both the ZJ (1993-1998) and WJ (1999-2004) Grand Cherokee. Front rotors are also available for the XJ Cherokee and TJ Wrangler, as these are the same as the ZJ front rotors.
Shipping may seem higher than normal because Stillen charges
a $10 drop ship fee on each order. S/H costs: $29.97 for
each pair, $55.97 for each set of four. Add $2.50 for
residential delivery below. So, if you purchase
the set of front and rear at the same time in the package,
you save nearly $20 in cost and shipping.

If you live in
California, you are subject to sales tax on all Stillen
products, and we cannot ship until you pay for the tax.

'99-'02 WJ customers: You need to verify if
the caliper/rotor retrofit has
been completed on your Jeep prior to you ordering.
This TSB dealt with an earlier-style WJ caliper
and rotor that caused rotor warpage and brake pedal
pulsating. There are two different rotor/pad
assemblies that we offer based on whether or not
this TSB has been completed. Please
see the picture below to identify YOUR caliper (need to take
your wheel off) before ordering. (You can also check
with your local Jeep dealer by giving them your VIN number
and asking them, but if you purchased your Jeep used, the
previous owner may have done it outside of the Jeep
dealership, leaving no records).
