How To Shift Jeep & Dodge 4x4 Transfer Case - Shifting it SMOOTH!! (Applies to 4x4 Cases built by New Process or New Venture Gear, models 231, 241, 242, 247, and 249) Transfer Case Shifting Smoothly...the way I've found works best for mine, is to slow to a near-crawl...1mph-4mph...tap the transmission up into Neutral, and then move the Transfer Case lever into the mode you want.  You have to push/pull it like you mean it...don't force it...but don't gingerly move the lever either. Updated: Jeep KJ Liberty Solid Front Axle (SFA) Conversion at KOR

Hey there, Jeepers.  Just wanted to post another update to our blog about the KJ project, which should be rolling out of the shop this week.  I'm looking forward to driving it around and feeling the difference between IFS (Independent Front Suspension) and the Solid Front Axle (SFA) Conversion on Coil-over shocks...should ride great, and flex even better! This has been a very cool project, and we've learned a lot.  We will be looking for another KJ Liberty owner who wants a similar project done to their Liberty to finalize the brackets we're prototyping that we plan on making available...
