Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee Secondary Steering Stabilizer Kit
What is Death Wobble? If you’re asking, then you’re lucky, because most likely you’ve never experienced it. If you ever do, you will know this terrifying experience immediately, and you will never forget it. Death Wobble can happen on vehicles with a solid front axle and independent suspension, whether the rig is lifted or stock. It is such a large problem that Chrysler has recently acknowledged the issue publicly, but at the moment will not cover it under warranty. We have created our Hard-KOR Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee Secondary Steering Stabilizer Kit to address this issue. We have an e-book here that explains the root causes and how to cure it.
We've done a lot of DW cures here at the shop, and have found that for some reason, the WJ Grand Cherokees seem to have a higher propensity for Death Wobble than the ZJ Grand Cherokees and XJ Cherokees do. We think this is because the steering stabilizer is mounted between the tie-rod and the axle on the WJ, rather than between the drag link and the axle like on the XJ/ZJ/TJ. Our Hard-KOR Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee Secondary Steering Stabilizer Kit can be used to add an additional steering stabilizer between the drag link and the track bar to tighten up your steering, or you can use it to simply move the primary one upwards to avoid rocks and other obstacles. Running a dual stabilizer set up will give you the maximum possible Death Wobble resistance and steering smoothness. We HIGHLY recommend that you also pick up a KOR-9309 + KOR-1002 PRIMARY stabilizer replacement and mounting kit. You will get a huge value out of these two items installed in conjunction with each other! This set up has cured at least twenty three cases of "uncurable" WJ Death Wobble in the last 6 months!
"I just wanted to let you guys know the JKS Track Bar and your Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee secondary steering stabilizer kit worked better than I could have dreamed! Before when I hit bumps the steering would shudder and, if above 40 m.p.h., there was a high chance of severe death wobble. This is great! I have been living with the problem since I bought my WJ 2 years ago. 30k miles of agony later I saw this kit. God Bless You Kevin's! My Jeep drives like it always should have." -Thanks again, Tom C., Port Angeles, WA
"Kevin, I have a 99 WJ with a Tera Flex 4-inch lift on it. I have had death wobble for several months now that I could not fix. I replaced tie rods, tires, track bar, had the caster angle changed, replaced the steering stabilizer, and more. Nothing was working. I had already replaced the original stabilizer so I went ahead and left that one on. I figured two would be better. I purchased a Steering Stabilizer relocation kit and dampener from you, and the problem is fixed. I tried everything else first when I should have just tried this. Maybe if someone else reads what I went through, they wont have to go through it as well. You have a new customer for life. Thanks a bunch." -A satisfied customer, Scott M., Westminster, CO
"I just installed the Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee Secondary Steering Stabilizer Kit, and thought I'd let ya know that it did its job! Awesome product will be doing business again!" - Blake, Deland, FL
