  • Dave:
Most customers purchase the Grease-able sway bar bushings we offer, in order to avoid this, when they place their order for the steering box brace. Here is a link to those:

If you’re dead in the water, what you can do is cut off the small tab on the factory bushings, which sticks up, and impedes the bracket from fitting properly.

You may also be able to find factory replacement clamshell clamps at your local auto parts store, which are flat, and do NOT have that goofy Jeep-specific tab that sticks up, to eliminate the need for cutting.

  • Kevin, I’ve got an 01 – XJ and had my first experience with the Death Wobble while on an LA fwy this last weekend. While there (LA) I had the track bar replaced (didn’t solve the problem) and ordered the ball joint (Currie) connection for the pitman arm. Steering linkage has been upgraded to Currie. What else do I need to do to get this beast back in the bottle?

  • Good call, Dave! It mentions the bushings lower down in the description, however, it wasn’t as clear as it needed to be, so we took your suggestion, and added it as an option upon checkout.

Apologies for the unclear communication, my friend.
