Quick Disconnect for Sway Bars for JK, TJ, WJ, XJ, ZJ built by JKS Manufacturing
I probably don't have to tell you that disconnecting your sway bars while you are offroad will not only smooth out the ride, but also increase the time that your tires remain on the ground during heavy articulation, enhancing traction as a result. If you spend any time offroad, you should DEFINITELY have a set of Quick Disconnects (also known as Quicker Disconnects / Quick Discos / Quick Disconnect / Sway Bar Disconnect / Sway Bar Discos / etc. )for your sway bar.
JKS Manufacturing Sway Bar Quick Disconnect for your front track bar (branded by JKS Manufacturing as "Quicker Disconnects") are the latest version of JKS's original model, which offers easier disconnecting and reconnecting of your sway bar than the classic "Quick Disconnect". These "Discos" are length adjustable so you can now adjust the length of each drop link to accommodate different size lift kits and/or non-level (left to right) rigs.
To disconnect them, simply remove the click pin and slide the bottom floating bushing off the axle mounted stainless steel pin. Rotate the sway bar up and re-attach the bottom portion of the QD to the storage pin. The TJ storage pin will hold the sway bar and QD up out of the way. XJ and ZJ owners will have to use the traditional wire tie method to hold everything up. Other features include: silent operation, exclusive QuadZerk™ design, gloss black powder coating over zinc plating, robotically MIG welded for superior strength and quality.
Mounting Note: CJ and YJ owners only must weld a tab (included) to the axle tube for mounting the bottom portion of the "Quicker Disconnect™". |
